MPC8360EA Modular Development System

The MPC8360EA Modular Development System (MDS) is designed to aid hardware and software developers using the PowerQUICC II Pro MPC8360EA family. The MPC8360EA MDS is comprised of the following hardware modules: The MPC8360EA Processor Board supporting DDR2 and IEEE1588, the PowerQUICC Platform I/O Board, the PowerQUICC PMC to PCI module, and the PowerQUICC Quad OC-3 ATM and PowerQUICC T1 plug-in cards. The system also allows for an optional PCI Expansion module interface.

The MPC8360EA Processor Board can be used as a stand alone development board that supports the following features:

The Platform I/O Board is an AdvancedTCA form factor with 4 PMC slots. The Platform I/O board, along with the expansion modules, provides increased development capabilities. For example:

• PCI Host mode (3.3V 32&64 bit bus) with single agent (w/ PCI PMC card and PIB)
• Access to 2nd USB Port (with USB PMC card and PIB)
• Additional USB PHYS (UTMI, ULPI and Serial OTG)
• PCI Host mode (3.3V 32&64 bit bus) with multiple agents (w/PCI expansion card & PIB)
