The Embedded Modem Development Kit provides all of the hardware and software to create an embedded modem solution.
The development kit is based on the C8051F120, the industry’s most integrated, highest performing 8-bit microcontroller with 100 MIPS throughput and the market-leading Si2457 ISOmodem® embedded modem, a proven two-chip 56,000 bps globally-programmable modem. The development kit uses the CMX-MicroNet protocol stack, a robust stack for embedded modem applications.
The kit contents include:

- AB3 Modem Adapter Board
- Si2457FT18-EVB Modem Board
- Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
- MCU Configuration Wizard
- TCP/IP Configuration Wizard
- Wall mounted power supply
- USB debug adapter and USB cable
The TCP/IP Configuration Wizard generates supporting directory structure and framework code required to start a new TCP/IP project. It also generates a custom library per the selected protocol configuration. Example source code, libraries and register definition files are provided with the kit and may be used as a template for code development.
