Xilinx® Virtex™-4 SX Evaluation Kit

The Xilinx Virtex-4 SX Evaluation Kit provides a complete hardware environment for designers to accelerate their time to market. The kit delivers a stable platform to develop and test designs targeted to the revolutionary Xilinx Virtex-4 Platform FPGA family. Virtex-4 offers three domain-optimized Platform FPGAs to deliver breakthrough capability at every price point, revolutionizing the fundamentals of FPGA economics and device choice. With up to 200,000 logic cells, up to 500 MHz performance, and unrivaled system features, the Virtex-4 family delivers twice the density, up to twice the performance, and as little as half the power consumption of current-generation FPGAs, offering a compelling cost-effective alternative to ASICs and ASSPs.  The Virtex-4 family is the first embodiment of the revolutionary ASMBL architecture that enables Xilinx to assemble multiple platforms with an optimal blend of features and enables designers to choose the Platform FPGA with the right mix for their design. This evaluation kit features an XC4VSX35-12FF668 device, which is optimized for digital signal processing applications.  Demonstration code is included with the kit to exercise peripherals featured on the evaluation board for a quick start to device familiarization.
