The REva starter kits from Raisonance are cost effective and complete solutions for evaluating and starting application development with a complete range of ST microcontrollers including the STR7 and STR9 ARM core-based devices. STR91X-SK/RAI is a starter kit with STR912FW4 device, trace-tool connector (38-pin), and Ethernet, UART, SPI, I2C, and ADC evaluation features.

The starter kit package includes:

  • REva motherboard: Universal evaluation board designed to easily and quickly evaluate a range of ST microcontrollers and device features. The motherboard provides a host of evaluation features including LED, push buttons, switches, temperature sensor, potentiometer and interfaces for SPI, I2C and UART.
  • REva daughterboard(s): STR912 daughter board. REva daughterboard(s) are dedicated boards that contain all the specific components for a given microcontroller, including the MCU itself, a clock selector and other device dependant features. Daughterboards plug into a standard SO-DIMM connector found on all REva motherboards.
  • RLink: In-circuit debugger/programmer, featuring USB host interface. The RLink is attached to the REva motherboard so that no additional connection cables are required for in-circuit programming and debugging with the REva. In addition, the user can power both the REva motherboard and the RLink from the USB connection.
  • RIDE: The 16K code-size limited version of Raisonances full-featured IDE, which provides seamless integration of C and Assembler tools and a full-featured debug interface.
  • GNU C/C++ Compiler: Unlimited, optimizing C/C++ compiler for ARM core-based microcontrollers.
  • and many additional features including built in Flash loader and numerous useful sample projects covering the full range device peripherals that are based on the proven STR7 and STR9 software libraries.
