PandaBoard is the first open
OMAP™
4 mobile software development platform. It is designed to provide access to as many of the powerful features of the Texas Instruments
OMAP4430 Multimedia Processor as possible while maintaining a low cost.
PandaBoard´s integrated
OMAP 4 features a dual-core ARM Cortex™-A9 MPCore™ with Symmetric Multiprocessing (SMP) at 1GHz each. The OMAP4430 also provides Full HD (1080p) multi-standard video encode/decode. By providing expandability via onboard connectors, the
PandaBoard OMAP4430 software development platform supports development of additional capabilities and functionality. PandaBoard is intended as a platform for development of mobile software. The
OMAP 4 targets Smartphones and other mobile device applications.
