High-speed BDM/JTAG Interface for GNU Debugger

High-speed BDM/JTAG Interface for GNU Debugger

bdiGDB enhances the GNU debugger (GDB), with Background Debug Mode (BDM) and JTAG debugging via BDI3000. All users of a processor with a PowerPC, ARM, XScale, MIPS32/64 can benefit from this debugging mode. The bdiGDB system supports Linux kernel debugging also when MMU is enabled. With the built-in Ethernet interface you get a very fast code download speed. No target communicataion channel (e.g. serial line) is wasted for debugging purposes. Even better, you can use fast Ethernet debugging with target systems without network capability. The host to BDI communication uses the standard GDB remote protocol. An additional Telnet interface is available for special debug tasks (e.g. force a hardware reset, program flash memory).
