Atollic Eases Debugging of RTOS-based Embedded Designs

Atollic TrueSTUDIO v3.2 adds support for over 200 new target devices and dual-core debugging

Support for in excess of 200 new target devices has been included in this new release. For example, new devices supported include the new STMicroelectronics® STM32F3 family, Freescale® Kinetis® L series, ARM Cortex-A class application processors and many new Fujitsu microcontrollers. In addition support has been added for a number of new evaluation and development boards including the

An integrated GUI client for the Git version control system has also been added.

Atollic TrueSTUDIO is a world-class development and debugging tool that offers a state-of-the-art editor, an optimizing C/C++ compiler and a multiprocessor-aware debugger with real-time tracing. Atollic TrueANALYZER® facilitates in-target test quality measurement using MC/DC-level coverage using dynamic execution flow analysis. Finally, Atollic TrueVERIFIER® provides an embedded test automation function using auto-generated and auto-executed unit test suites on the target board.

Atollic® today announced the availability of Atollic TrueSTUDIO® for ARM® v3.2, the latest version of Atollic’s award-winning integrated development environment for embedded microcontroller designs. In addition to a significant increase of target devices now supported, TrueSTUDIO v3.2 introduces native RTOS-aware debugging for leading RTOSes such as FreeRTOS, OpenRTOS, ThreadX and embOS. Atollic TrueSTUDIO v3.2 also provides an integrated interface to the Micrium uC/Probe tool that provides RTOS-aware debugging for the uC/OS-III RTOS. RTOS-aware debugging greatly eases the task of debugging an RTOS-based embedded development. It achieves this by presenting the software engineer with an insight to the RTOS status, such as message queues and tasks along with other information that will help them to have a better understanding of how their application is being handled within the RTOS.
