The MC9S08AW16 / MC9S08AW32 / MC9S08AW60 are members of the first family of devices based on the high-performance HCS08 core supporting 5-volt applications. They are highly integrated, high-performance devices which comes packed with valuable features - 16/32/60K flash memory respectively with 1K/2K/2K RAM, flexible internal clock generator that eliminates need for external components, low voltage detect, high-performance, analog-to-digital converter (ADC), serial communication modules etc.

The 9S08AW family is designed to be very robust in a variety of environments with very good EMC performance. The 9S08AW family is offered in several pin-counts (64, 48, 44), package options (QFP, LQFP, QFN) and temperature ranges (C, M).

Freescale also offers the DEMO9S08AW60E which is a combination of the popular demo board and the powerful USBMULTILINKBDM cable to create a complete, cost-effective development tool.

These devices are suitable for industrial and automotive applications
