 Zilog’s Z8 Encore!® products are based on the Zilog’s eZ8TM CPU and introduce Flash Memory to Zilog’s extensive line of 8-bit microcontrollers. The Flash Memory in-circuit programming capability allows for faster development time and program changes in the field. The high-performance register-to-register based architecture of the eZ8 core maintains backward compatibility with Zilog’s popular Z8® MCU. Z8 Encore! MCUs combine a 20 MHz core with Flash Memory, linear-register SRAM, and an extensive array of on-chip peripherals. The Z8 Encore! XP family features Zilog’s register-based eZ8 TM core with memory to memory architecture and up to 64KB of Flash memory. Feature set options include UART, I2C, SPI, integrated DMA controller, temperature sensor and Op Amp. And the Z8 Encore! XP family delivers outstanding math performance as well as in-circuit programmability. The Z8 Encore! XP family comes with a free suite of development software including a full ANSI Optimizing C-Compiler, which is fully compatible across both our Encore! and Encore! XP families. Zilog also offers a full suite of design tools, including development kits and modular development systems. |
