The H8SX/1500 Series is equipped with an H8SX CPU core with Renesas´ exclusive high-speed/high performance 32-bit CISC CPU. It is upwardly compatible with the current Renesas H8 and H8S at the object level and provides a maximum operating frequency of 48 MHz. The series is also equipped with peripheral functions very suitable for automotive controls, such as SSU and CAN,which are LAN standard and employ a 5 V single power supply. It is a series well suited for industrial use, with the automotive field and factory automation as the focus. Models with large capacity flash memory and improved peripheral functions are currently in development.
